ABOUT US

The Academy of St Mary-le-Bow is a flexible orchestra based in central London. The ensemble is made up of outstanding non-professional musicians from all walks of life, all of whom are young professionals working in London.

 

Since its formation in 2016 the orchestra has gone from strength to strength, performing in venues across London, working with a vast range of distinguished guest conductors, leaders, and soloists. 

The Academy of St Mary-le-Bow is run by a committee of players.

LIVE at St Mary-le-Bow

19 June 2023, St Mary-le-Bow

As part of the 'LIVE at St Mary-le-Bow' festival, the orchestra are joined by renowned tenor Hugo Hymas and horn Player Jake Parker to perform Britten's Serenade for Tenor Horn and Strings.

Joining the Academy of St Mary-le-Bow Friends Scheme costs just £50 a year. All funds go towards the running of the orchestra which allows us to put on an exciting and

varied programme of events. In return, Friends receive a number of benefits.
